Tempranillo, Private Reserve
This Tempranillo has bold dark cherry and plum flavors with soft aromas of dried leaves and sandalwood from oak aging. These grapes are grown at 3700 feet elevation in the Texas High Plains and fermented on the skin for 20 days then aged in hybrid barrels for twelve months. This gives the wine a rustic and robust character that matches the Texas spirit.
Viognier, Private Reserve
Messina Hof Viognier is a medium-bodied white wine known for its floral and tropical fruit notes. This 2023 vintage is unoaked allowing the grapes natural aromatics to truly shine in the glass. Flavors of pineapple, melon, and citrus swirl together in each refreshing sip.

Sophia Marie Rosé

Our Sparkling Almond is a demi-sec sparkling wine enhanced by a toasted almond flavor layered over impressions of caramel-covered green apple. This wine pairs well with seafood or textured desserts. Messina Hof’s Sparkling Almond is made from 100% Texas grown grapes. The sweetest of our Texas sparkling wines, this bubbly is a celebratory wine for all occasions.
Blushing Angel Rosé
Messina Hof's Blushing Angel Rosé is not shy when it comes to its vibrant rosy complexion and bursts of fresh strawberry flavors. The sweetness of this rosé makes it a dessert all its own, but even better when paired with light cakes or pastries. Blushing Angel is the counterpart of Messina Hof's Angel Late Harvest Riesling. The name Angel comes from the wines' angelic sweetness, and honors the stone carvings of angels that are on the front wall of the Messina Hof winery in Bryan. Each label showcases a piece of Fredericksburg history. River Rock White represents the many rivers, creeks, and springs that run through Central Texas. One of the most known rivers is the Guadalupe River, which runs over 200 miles from Kerrville to the Gulf of Mexico. The upper Guadalupe’s riverbanks are lined with beautiful cypress trees and limestone bluffs.

About the Label: Operation Iceberg was the Allied invasion of Okinawa, a strategically vital island just a few hundred miles from mainland Japan. On Easter morning, April 1, 1945, more than 1,300 ships and over 500,000 Allied troops launched the largest amphibious assault of World War II — a brutal battle that raged until June 22 with immense casualties on both sides.

Messina Hof is honored to craft and showcase a wine collection for the ages that pays respect to the brave men and women that served during World War II and specifically in support of the Pacific War operations. About the Label: Code Girls were an elite group of female codebreakers recruited from across the United States during World War II to serve in top-secret intelligence roles for the U.S. military. They were trained extensively in cryptography and cryptanalysis, then moved to secure facilities in Washington, D.C., where they decoded Japanese and German military communications. By 1945, women made up 70 percent of America’s codebreakers, and their work was critical to Allied victory.
Orange Muscat Mistella, Artist Series
Orange Muscat Mistella is a sweet dessert white wine fortified shortly after fermentation to encapsulate aromas of orange blossom and flavors of candied orange custard and pineapple. Messina Hof is honored to craft and showcase a wine collection for the ages that pays respect to the brave men and women that served during World War II and specifically in support of the Pacific War operations. About the Label: On January 16, 1944, thousands of Texans serving in the Pacific gathered at Ala Moana Park in Honolulu for the “Old Texas Roundup,” held in honor of Fredericksburg native Admiral Chester Nimitz. The label depicts Admiral Nimitz addressing the crowd. The event served as a vital boost to morale and fighting spirit—just one year before Allied victory in the Pacific.
Noblemen's Reserve, Hill Country Exclusive
Noblemen’s Reserve is a bold blend with rustic earthy aromas that leave one traveling through flavors of licorice and smooth, dark berries. Pair with lamb or venison for an ideal food and wine experience. There are four wines exclusive to Messina Hof Hill Country Winery. Each label showcases a piece of Fredericksburg history. Fredericksburg was founded by Prussian bureaucrat, John O. Meusebach. He had a vast interest in what was then called The Republic of Texas, and wanted to pursue his interest in geology and horticulture. He proudly served as Commissioner General of the Society for the ‘Protection of German Immigrants in Texas’, also called the “Noblemen’s Society”.
Petit Verdot
Messina Hof’s Petit Verdot is a bold, full-bodied red wine with a strong flavor profile and heavy tannins. Herbaceous undertones of sage and lilac are complemented with flavors of molasses, blackberries, and dark cherries.

Chester Nimitz is a native Texan who embodied humility, respect, pride, and unwavering strength in the face of war. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Chester Nimitz was chosen to take charge at Pearl Harbor. He took command of the Pacific Fleet on December 31, 1941 and was promoted to Admiral that same day. Admiral Nimitz is one of only four naval officers to ever receive the rank of 5 star general.

Tawny Port
Tawny Port is fermented with slow oxidation to develop rich, nutty, caramel flavors that blend with chocolate and cherry undertones. Oak aging develops additional vanilla character and soft tannins to round out this remarkable dessert wine.
